Four Selected KCDB Updates, 27–30 July 2026
The final week of July brought a cluster of activity in the BIPM Key Comparison Database, including new and revised Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMCs) and final reports of bilateral comparisons. Together, these selected updates cover three Consultative Committees — CCM, CCEM and CCRI — and two Regional Metrology Organizations: EURAMET and APMP. Further updates were published in the same period; those below are a representative selection.

On 20 July, FORUM-MD launched the first stable version of the SI Reference Point (SIRP 1.0.0) during a dedicated webinar on its role in the digital transformation of the SI and its position within the wider SI Digital Framework. The full recording is now available on the BIPM's official YouTube channel, joining the six FORUM-MD 2026 keynotes released in April.
FORUM-MD currently coordinates six Task Groups and three Working Groups, each addressing a distinct dimension of the digital transformation of metrology:
- TG-AI — Building Safe and Trustworthy AI
- TG-DQ&FPM — Data Quality and FAIR Practices in Metrology
- TG-H-DCC/DRMC — Harmonizing DCC and DRMC
- TG-MS — Metrological Semantics
- TG-SIDF — SI-digital Framework
- TG-SN — Sensor Networks
- WG-S — Strategy
- WG-CC — Coordination between Consultative Committees
- WG-RMO — Coordination between Regional Metrology Organizations
For national metrology institutes and calibration laboratories tracking where global infrastructure is headed, this taxonomy provides a practical map: Digital Calibration Certificates, sensor-network trust, AI evaluation and machine-actionable SI are no longer separate conversations. They are coordinated work streams.
